For all of the times that I told you that you were wrong... you were right.

For all of the facts I fact checked to show you that you were wrong... you were right.

For all of the times I told you that you were wrong for getting the cheapest thing at McDonald's (a $ 1.39 single-patty hamburger) when all my friends were getting Big Macs... you were right.

For all of the times I told you that you were wrong for getting angry during our arguments... you were right.

For all of the times I told you that you were wrong for getting cheap dishes at restaurants... you were right.

For all of the times I got mad at you because I couldn't tell you my perspective without making you angry... you were right.

For all of the times I told you that you were wrong for packing the car the wrong way when we were going to our cabin... you were right.

For all of the times I told you that you were wrong for pointing out my lowest mark on my report card... you were right.

For all of the times I got mad at you for being nicer to my sister than you were to me - because she agreed with you and I didn't... you were right.

For all of the times I blamed you for me feeling not good enough even though I joined all the clubs and got all the good marks... you were right.

For all of the times I made a mess in the kitchen, and told you it's stupid to get mad about spills... you were right.

For all of the times you were wrong for continuously correcting me about table manners that didn't fucking matter... you were right.

For all of the times you were wrong for watching TV for hours at night... you were right.

For all of the times you were wrong for pouring water on me when I had panic attacks... you were right.

No one ever told me that you were allowed to make mistakes.

I thought you were supposed to have it all figure out.

And while I was so busy getting mad at you for being wrong about everything, I forgot to tell you what you were right about.

I forgot to tell you about the most important thing that you've always been right about.

Being my dad.

Somewhere along the way, I forgot that you're human too.

You're just like me. You're doing your best.

And that's more than right.

It's all I could ever ask for.

I love you, Dad.
